Monthly Mission: Pray for LIFE

I had hoped to have this post up earlier, but we are still trying to recover and catch up with life after being on a road trip for over 2 weeks with our three young kiddos, so things are taking a little longer to get done. I’ve talked about my friend Amanda at several times before, as she is the writer of the fantastic eBook “Truth in the Tinsel“. Recently, she has also started a series on her blog {Read More}

Eden’s Birth Story

As my pregnancy was drawing nearer to its end, I was becoming increasingly impatient for Eden’s arrival and was hoping he would come early! There were some timing issues that I was a little bit anxious about, as my parents were planning to go on a vacation a couple days after his due date and we were going to need their help to take care of our two older kids for a couple days while we were in the hospital, {Read More}

Maternity Photo Shoot

Thank you so much to my lovely friend Steph who took these maternity photos for us and to my parents for hosting it in their beautiful home. **Note: In case you were wondering, yes – I did airbrush my stomach – it is no where near that perfect in real life! **

Longing for Eden

Today I am nearly at the 38 week mark in this pregnancy and the above photo couldn’t be more true – in more ways than one. First of all, I am longing for my baby Eden to be born and am getting increasingly impatient for his arrival! As the end draws near, there is literal  discomfort and pain in the longing as my body aches from this journey of pregnancy, mixed with hope and anticipation and joy, knowing of the {Read More}

2nd Trimester

Well, I am quite happy to be entering into the 2nd trimester of this pregnancy and will be at 13 weeks tomorrow! To be honest, this pregnancy has been much more difficult than my other pregnancies. I’ve had some minor nausea, but mostly I’ve just had a lot of pain in my stomach and lower back, with a general “yucky” feeling. It’s not all day and usually it’s the worst in the evening, but I am really hoping some of {Read More}

New Life!

It is with great joy and some trepidation that I announce that we are once again pregnant! By the grace and goodness of the Lord and by the amazing works of His hands, there is the miracle of new life growing inside my womb! I am approximately 10 weeks along and impatiently waiting for my first appointment with my obstetrician in a couple weeks, as I am desperately longing to hear the heartbeat of this precious little one. The anticipated {Read More}

Rayah’s Birth Story

So, I’m a little late in writing this post, but I want to tell you the wonderful story about our daughter Rayah’s birth.  If you read my last post, I was expecting our daughter Rayah to arrive early, since I was already dilated and effaced and she was sitting very low, but the days kept passing by with very little activity to report and I was beginning to get rather impatient!  I had been having Braxton Hicks contractions for a few weeks, {Read More}

Maternity Photo Shoot

For those of you who aren’t on Facebook, here are a “few” of my favorite shots (it’s so hard for me to narrow it down!) from a maternity photo shoot we had done last weekend!

Justice – 19 months, Rayah – 39 weeks

So, Justice turned 19 months old on October 4th and Rayah will be 39 weeks in the womb come tomorrow, granted she does not decide to make her big arrival before then!    Same as last month, I will give a point-form synopsis of Justice’s exciting developments lately! Cute & funny things: He has been dancing a lot – spinning in circles and jumping around like crazy – so cute! He noticed dust particles floating in the air in the sunlight {Read More}

Justice – 18 months, Rayah – 35 weeks

It’s hard to believe that my little guy is a year and a half!!  At the same time, it’s super hard to believe that I only have 5 weeks until my due date for Rayah!  August was a fun month, even if it wasn’t as warm as often as we would have liked.  Joe’s parents came to visit us for a weekend, which is always great and Justice totally loved being with them!  Joe and I also celebrated our birthdays {Read More}
