Bible Reading Plans


I’m working on creating some Bible Reading Plans to submit to YouVersion.com since I love using their site for my daily Bible reading!  It is such a fantastic resource for getting yourself on track with a regular scheduled dose of the Word and I’ve come to love it even more now that I use it on my iPhone – it’s just so easy and accessible and I can even download select versions of the Bible to my phone so they’re available without needing to access the internet.  Anyways, I thought I would share the Bible Reading Plans I have put together here in case you’d like to take advantage of them.

NT in a Month
While there is already a great 30-day reading plan for the New Testament on YouVersion, I found that with having multiple days “off” in the plan, it made some of the other reading days a little heavy with too many chapters for me to easily complete as a busy work-at-home mom. :)  So, I decided to create my own plan that divided up the chapters of the New Testament more evenly throughout 30 days, without taking any days off. I also tried to keep books together, without splitting them up or starting a new book, whenever possible. I like this plan because it keeps the reading manageable with an average of 8.5 chapters per day and no more than 12 chapters in one day. I also often get to read entire epistles in one sitting, which gives me a great overall feeling for the message when it’s not broken up.  So here’s the plan – let me know your thoughts if you try it out and I’ll update you if it gets added to YouVersion. The number in brackets is how many chapters of reading there are for that day.
